About Us

Hello, I’m Kerry,

I have been working for Bright Beginnings since March 2004 when I was appointed Nursery Manager in preparation for the nursery opening in October 2004.

Being a mum to twin boys I know all about the pressure of working full time whilst raising children.  In doing so I’ve deepened my understanding and the ability to support parents who are trying to juggle working, childcare and family life.

I have 26 years of childcare experience having qualified as a NNEB nursery nurse in 1990. I have been working in private day nurseries my entire working life, starting as nursery nurse and working my way up the career ladder to Nursery Manager.

Over the last 26 years, I have continued to develop my knowledge and understanding of childcare by completing further professional qualifications, such as, a NVQ Assessors qualification, a Level 4 in childcare and a Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Policies and Practice.

I am passionate about setting high standards of care and education within the nursery; my mission is to ensure that we provide each child in our care with the best possible start in life and the right kind of support to reach their full potential within a safe, secure and challenging learning environment.

Hello, I’m Sharon,

I’m the Deputy Manager of the nursery and the Early Years Professional here at Bright Beginnings.

Having predominantly trained in Performing Arts I have furthered my natural ability to engage and interact with children through a fun and inspiring approach.

I have been working for Bright Beginnings Day Nursery for the last ten years and have a true passion to making a difference here at the nursery. To this extent I am responsible for training and enthusing staff to develop current skills when working with your precious child, aiming to obtain good attainment for them within the curriculum.(or Early Years Foundation Stage)

Prior to my role here I travelled to Denmark and Scotland to study the Forest School approach and the importance of outdoor learning, something that I am continually developing here at Bright Beginnings Day Nursery. I am continually working with the staff to maintain high quality observation, assessment and planning developing on tools that equip both staff and children to develop the nurseries success.  I am passionate about enabling learning to provide children from as young as 6 weeks through to 8 years old the ability to feel unique, special and to achieve within society and the wider world around them.

Exceeding the Early Learning Standards

We provide a fun-filled learning environment, within warm, stimulating and comfortable surroundings allowing every child, to develop a positive image of themselves and of others. Bright Beginnings Day Nursery and Pre-School has been registered with Ofsted as a "Day Nursery and Pre School”, "Out of School Club" and "Holiday Club" for children aged 6 weeks to 8 years.

The children are grouped according to their age and stage of development into either Pooh Bears, Rabbitz, Kangas, Piglets, Tiggers and Wise Owls. All activities are planned to be in line with Early Years Foundation Stage.
