Management Team

Hello, I’m Kerry,

I have been working for 20 years with Bright Beginnings since March 2004 when I was appointed Nursery Manager in preparation for the nursery opening in October 2004.

Being a mum to twin boys I know all about the pressure of working full time whilst raising children. In doing so I’ve deepened my understanding and the ability to support parents who are trying to juggle working, childcare and family life.

I have 34 years of childcare experience having qualified as a NNEB nursery nurse in 1990. I have been working in private day nurseries my entire working life, starting as nursery nurse and working my way up the career ladder to Nursery Manager.

Over the years, I have continued to develop my knowledge and understanding of childcare by completing further professional qualifications, such as, a NVQ Assessors qualification, a Level 4 in childcare and a Foundation Degree in Early Childhood Policies and Practice.

I am passionate about setting high standards of care and education within the nursery; my mission is to ensure that we provide each child in our care with the best possible start in life and the right kind of support to reach their full potential within a safe, secure and challenging learning environment.

Hello, I’m Sharon,

I’m the Deputy Manager of the nursery and the Early Years Professional here at Bright Beginnings.

Having predominantly trained in Performing Arts I have furthered my natural ability to engage and interact with children through a fun and inspiring approach.

I have been working for Bright Beginnings Day Nursery since 2009 and have a true passion to making a difference here at the nursery. To this extent I am responsible for training and enthusing staff to develop their current skills, so they are better equipped to work with your precious child, and support them to achieve their highest potential

Prior to my role here I travelled to Denmark and Scotland to study the Forest School approach and the importance of outdoor learning, something that I am continually developing here at Bright Beginnings Day Nursery. I keep abreast of changes to legislation and best practice within the Early Years Development sector and continually work alongside staff to promote best practice and innovative ways of developing the children who attend Bright Beginnings. I am passionate about facilitating learning for children from as young as 6 weeks through to 8 years old helping each one to feel unique, special and to achieve within society and the wider world around them.

I would like to welcome you to the nursery and look forward to getting to know you and your family.
